Why we built netfee.io

Every payment processor advertises a headline rate — 2.9% + $0.30, 2.6% + $0.10, 3.49% + $0.49 — but the number you actually pay depends on how the card was entered, whether it was international, whether currency conversion applies, and whether you pay Invoice, Checkout, Terminal, or API pricing.

Most "fee calculators" online are sidebar widgets attached to blogs that can't be bothered to model anything beyond the domestic card rate. We built netfee.io to be the opposite: a set of small, accurate, up-to-date tools that show the real fee for the situation you're actually in.

How we make money

We show display ads (via Google AdSense) and participate in affiliate programs with some of the processors we cover. When you click an affiliate link and sign up, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence the rates we publish. We show the same numbers whether a processor has an affiliate program or not. Stripe has no classic affiliate program — we link to their pricing page without any tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Do you store the amounts I enter into the calculator?
No. The calculators run entirely in your browser (JavaScript only). Nothing you type is sent to our servers. Close the tab and it's gone. See our privacy policy.
How current are the rates?
Each calculator page shows a "Last verified" date in its footer or rates table. We monitor processor pricing pages and update when they change, usually within a few days. Payment processor rates are published by the processors themselves — always verify on their site before making a business decision.
Which processor is cheapest?
There's no universal answer — it depends on your transaction size, whether you process in person or online, whether cards are international, and which add-ons you use. Try our head-to-head comparison, which runs the same amount through all three processors side-by-side.
Are you affiliated with any of these companies?
No. netfee.io is operated by Robot Arms LLC and is independent of every processor we cover. We participate in some affiliate programs (Shopify, Square via Impact, PayPal via Impact). Stripe has no classic affiliate program and we link to their pricing page without tracking. Full details in our affiliate disclosure.
Are you going to add other processors?
Yes. Shopify Payments is next (fast-follow). After that, the most-requested additions tend to be Braintree, Adyen, and Authorize.net. If you want to see a specific processor added, let us know.
